BEHIND JEFFHATESBURPEES.com
Jeff Jones is a man with a singular mission: raising money to support his son Alex, Down syndrome awareness and other people with disabilities through Adult Literacy Ohio and the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). This concept was born from Jeff’s passion for both physical exercise and supporting people and causes he believes could use a little extra help.
Jeffhatesburpees.com launched in 2018. During that year, Jeff completed 100,000 burpees over a nine-month period and raised more than $20,000 for DSACO.
In successive years Jeff has encouraged his friends and his family to join him. Others have set physical goals of their own (often following a 3-2-1 theme in recognition of Down syndrome/Trisomy 21) and his event has become an annual fundraising celebration.
In seven years, Jeff has raised more than $100,000 for DSACO and this year is expanding the event to include Adult Literacy Ohio.
