Adult Literacy Ohio Event 2/3/26

ALO will be celebrating its 4th birthday with an open house on Tuesday, February 3 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the ElevateDD offices (510 E. North Broadway St., Columbus, OH 43214).

I will be accompanying Alex The Man to the earlier part of the event from approximately 11:30 until 12:30. Alex has a previous commitment with the Columbus Dog Sled Club so he cannot stay for the entire open house. Also, Alex has agreed to sign autographs while he is there for those interested.

I know ALO would welcome open house attendees but, for those who cannot make it, here are few data points about ALO.

·       96% would recommend Adult Literacy Ohio to a friend.

·       95% said the program helped them build new skills that increase independence.

·       94% said participation in the program helps build confidence.

·       75% said they felt more prepared to get a job or volunteer.
