Day 7 - A Great Start

Thanks to this group we are off to a GREAT start.

First, we had a $5181 donation from my old(er) friend Lou Nekola to get things started. He’s enjoyed inflicting pain on me for over 30 years!

Second, several people have started physically participating. My son Alex has been doing 25 pushups (unbroken) each day (most days). Alex is beast when he wants to be and I’ve seen him, on zero training, knock out 100 burpees in less than 15 minutes. I’m thinking the 21st chromosome should be called the Burpee chromosome.

My high school friend, Jeff Griffin, is working his way through the BSU pushups challenge “one bite at a time”. Though he’s just starting on the BSU stuff, he rivals one of my idols, the Dos Equis guy, for the title of “The Most Interesting Man In The World” and I wouldn’t bet against him. One of them, can’t remember which, once parallel parked a locomotive.

Finally, my friend Rick “Man of Stihl” Bryan is continuing on his quest to bench press 321 pounds -YIKES! He is somewhere north of 300 pounds currently and still grinding. I have a hard time wrapping my head around 321 pounds and moving it with anything short of a backhoe.

It brings me joy to not only have people participate financially, but also physically.

Thanks to all and make yourself a great day!
